Whistler Skiing
You’ve got everything you need for a great ski trip in the mountains; you found a sale on ski equipment at your local sporting goods store, you’ve purchased the latest ski gear that will keep you warm, and you’ve even been taking a few lessons at some of the local slopes. But before you head off on your vacation, you’ll need to find a perfect place to go skiing. One of the best ski resorts in North America is Whistler. Whistler Blackcomb is preparing for the 2009.10 season and we’re anticipating a very exciting year as we realize a five decade long dream of being the Official Alpine Skiing venue for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
The Whistler Resort in Canada is named after the Whistler mountain that is a constant attraction for skiers; it is accompanied by the Blackcomb Mountain, and these two grand structures stretch over 7,000 feet of terrain, which means you’ll have plenty of room to ski–and to learn. Whistler offers a wonderful array of accommodation options, from luxurious mountain chalets to economical hotels.
At Whistler Village you can choose from hotels in the heart of all the action! Located at the base of the ski hill, these hotels are close to the Whistler Village Gondola and Blackcomb’s Excalibur Gondola.
The Whistler Upper Village is the place to stay if you want to in hotels that are close to the base of Blackcomb Mountain and the Wizard and Magic Chairs. These hotels are also near the Chateau Whistler Golf Club.
Whistler hotels in Village North has its own marketplace and restaurants, and when you stay in hotels here, it’s just a short walk to both the Whistler and Blackcomb Gondolas.
Whistler Creekside is the perfect location for Whistler condos 10 minutes south of the main village with its own Town Centre and Whistler Creekside Gondola. You can ski in to the property from Whistler Mountain, and the warm fire place and upscale, leather furniture make the space even more welcoming. The Creekside is only about 10 minutes from the slopes, which means you can wake up any time to enjoy a full day of skiing. There is also a full laundry room on the property, so you won’t have to travel for clothing care.
When you have explored the 8,000 plus acres of terrain on both mountains, head down to the valley and experience Village life. When you come down from the mountains, there’s still plenty to do in Whistler. Like restaurants, shopping, rest day activities, après and nightlife action.
