GREAT SNOWFALL FOR WORLD CUP SNOWBOARD COMPETITION

Colorado had some heavy snowfalls recently, and Telluride, Colorado already has a 32″ base.  Crews are already working the mountains to prepare it for the opening on November 24 and to ensure that they are ready to welcome the WORLD CUP SNOWBOARD COMPETITION, December 18-20.  This will be the final qualifying event before the Winter Olympics! 

Telluride is the sole U.S. stop of the LG sponsored FIS (International Ski Federation) Snowboard World Cup and will feature both SBX (snowboardcross) and PGS (parallel giant slalom) competitions during the second in a series of five Olympic qualification events for the two disciplines.
